Kosovo Pulmologist Besim Morina said today that the until now recommendations in most Western countries have been that the use of masks in public is unnecessary. However, practices in China and other East Asian countries, as well as recent studies on the way to carry the infection, have shown that maintaining them helps reduce infection.
Morina through a Facebook post says that using masks in our country should be binding, because, according to him, all data shows that wearing a mask if combined with other measures of social distance and those of cleaning hands and face-freeness would lead to a drastic slowdown in spreading the infection to keep infection down.

Domestic recommendations in most Western countries have been that the use of masks in public is unnecessary. However, practices in China and other East Asian countries, as well as recent studies on the way to carry the infection, have shown that maintaining them helps reduce infection.
Our knowledge of the carrying of SARS-CoV-2 infection is increasing every day. It is thus understood that the main route of carrying infection is not through tiny aerosols that emerge during speech and breathing (which stop through N95 masks) but through the larger dots that are drawn through coughing or sneezing.
The latter are also stopped in simple surgical masks. Yes, using any physical barrier to the distribution of these marks, whether surgical masks, artisans, or a simple mouth covering of the nose, would reduce the spread of the infection.
The hold of the simple mask will stop this distribution through the stakes as a whole, but also of the fine aerosols to a mass of up to 75%.
Eventually, all the data shows that wearing the mask if combined with other measures of social distance and that of cleaning hands and not touching faces would lead to a drastic slowdown in the distribution of the infection to keep the infection going down. It is good for responsible authorities in Kosovo as early as any person who appears in public places to be recommended or even obliged to wear a mask or cover the face.
On the other hand, the fact is that tiny aerosols (less than 10 micrometers) are known to come out with breathing and during their speech but are no longer distributed within 2 meters before they drop to the surface or evaporate.
While large dots (more than 10 micrometers) are distributed at a high rate of 50 feet per second or with coughs about 10 meters per second, which can distribute dots up to 20 feet [6 m], making social distance ineffective about 2 meters [2 m].
