Recent weeks have circulated images of popular mafia groups distributing basic products for the poorest in southern regions: Campa, Calabria, Sicily and Pulia.
“Million people work in black, which means they have no income for more than one me and have no idea when they can get back to work. In Palermo, brother of a group chief “Cosa Nostra” has distributed food in Zen County, where the mafia has considerable presence. He later said he only did charity and attacked journalists for reporting, writes the Guardian”, Report Express.
The distribution of food is an old tactic as the mafia itself, where its bosses first do so without asking for anything in return.
