The Social Democrat Initiative branch in Prizren has indicated that it will present criminal outcry to the Prosecutor against senior municipal officials on the issue of the Sanitarian delivery contract for the health care needs of Coronavirus.
This opposition subject claims that Mayor Mytaher Haskuka, Health Director Visar Shehu and chief of the Procurement Office Isa Osmankaj on this procurement subject have committed criminal work misuse of official office or authority and misuse and public procurement fraud, writes KOHA.
The high profile “, in the quality of the Prizren municipality's official persons by overstepping legal authorisations and failing to respect the Public Procuration Law, have signed a contract with prices for entities that are out of line with market prices, resulting in reasonable suspicion of misuse of public money. With this move, it is suspected that those high-ranking in the quality of Prizren's municipality officials have committed criminal acts abuse of official position or authority and misuse and fraud in public procurement, sanctioned at articles 414 and 415 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code”, it is said at the announcement of the NS branch. It stresses that this criminal outcry will be handed over to Prizren's Founding Prosecutor on Monday.
Based on media reports, The NS in the argument of criminal speculation has written that the contract in question is signed with an economic operator who in its economic activities does not have them of medical products or something similar, “which puts the reasonable suspicion of misuse of the official position from the top during direct negotiations with this economic operator”. Thus the opposition subject has deemed it necessary for the prosecution to initiate investigations, “in order to provide other evidence in the process, which may be necessary to establish the indictment”.
