Google said that pandemic has enabled a great possibility of cyber deception, where criminals are trying to trick users into showing their personal data.

The company said it's blocking 100 million suspicious eailas every day. Last week, almost one fifth of electronic posts are the fraud of the coronavirus.

Gmail has about 1.5 billion users, reports the BBC, Time broadcasts.

Gmail users are getting e-mails in which frauds are pretending to be authorities like the World Health Organization so they can get people to take different software or make donations to fake organisations.

Last week, the National Cyber Security Centre and the US Department of Internal Security issued a joint statement showing that a growing number of online criminals are exploiting the current Covid-19 pandemic for their benefit.
