Christophe was born Daniel Beviacqua in 1945 in peripheral Paris. He became known in the mid 1960s, starting with the Aline ballad. After an intervention, he successfully returned to the pop in the 1970s, with a series of love songs hit including Les Motts Bleus, with text written by Jean-Michel Jarre.
