The International Basketball Federation's Executive Committee (FIBA) on Thursday has kept a videoconferencing and has decided that “Eurobasket 2021” will be held in 2022.
Eurobasket's postponement for one year has resulted from the postponement of the Olympics for next year.
This has also postponed Olympic qualifying tournaments in basketball, which will be played from 22 June to 4 July next year.
Meanwhile, “Eurobasket 2021” will be held from September 1st to September 18th, 2022.
Wednesday FIBA Europe decided to cancel 16 European new categories championships, which were supposed to be held in summer.
One of these championships, the U-16 age group, Division C, has had to be organised in Pristina.
