The European Foreign Action Service (EEAS) has estimated that the coronary crisis in the Western Balkans is being used to claim the European Union is turning its back on the region.
“In the Western Balkans, the crisis is being used to strengthen the existing narrator that the EU is turning its back on a region where they continue to raise the theories of corruption that the Coronavirus is an American biological weapon”, the EEAS said in a special report on updated pandemic today.
Sources near the Kremlin, as well as some local sources in EU member states, Eastern Partnership countries, the Western Balkans, Middle East and African countries, claim that the EU is failing to deal with the pandemic and is close to breaking, selfish and betraying its values, while, instead, the EU, Russia and China are <x0forca responsible” and that the EU is using the crisis to pursue its own interests, the report says.
The claims that the EU is breaking up due to the virus crisis are dominated by social networks in all surveyed regions,” states EEAS.
The report adds that the worldwide explosion of deninforms regarding the body's pandemic continues, with potentially harmful public health consequences, Kosova Prees broadcast.
Some states and state-backed actors tend to exploit the health crisis to pursue geopolitical interests, often directly questioning the credibility of the European Union and its partners”.
“In China, state media and government officials are promoting untested theories about the origin of coronary, and media reports have expressed their gratitude to several European leaders for Chinese aid,”, the report said.
Also, it is said that the <x0media controlled by the Chinese father promotes the idea that the Chinese model is superior in the fight against corruption”.
In a text dedicated to Report E The Brussels-based EAS Eractive states that the EU approved on Monday a 38m-euro bailout package for the Western Balkans, of which 15m euros will go to Serbia.
In spite of this, Euractive recalls, Serbia has only thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping by writing through billboards: “Thank you, Brother Xi!”
Eractive also recalls that on March 15th, when the state of emergency was declared, Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq rejected the EU's unwillingness to help.
There is no European solidarity. It was a story on paper. I've sent a special letter to the only country that can help, which is China, “tha Vuciq.
