Next season Buffon will play its 26th season as a professional footballer and set another record in Serie A.
Gazzetta dello Sport writes that Buffon was asked by President Agnelli to continue staying at the goal for the Benancane.
“We want you to still be one of us,” said Agnelli, according to the paper.
Buffon replied: “If you're sure it's the right solution, I'm happy to continue. ”
The World Cup winner will extend his agreement to another year, means he can become the third oldest player ever to appear in Serie A, as he turns 43 in next January.
