During a virtual interview with Washington's Economic Club, Mr. Fauci said, If the restrictions are carefully removed and we have the ability to identify individuals with the virus, isolated and discovered those with whom they had contact, then the number of new cases will be low”.
Based on this scenario, he said, models show a small number of cases ranging from 70 thousand to 800,000 across the country.
