The incumbent prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo in an interview for “Euronews Albania” has also talked about the Special Court. However, the leader of the Vetevendosje Movement has not taken a firm stand over such a court. At first, it says that the Special Court cannot be undone since it is a constitutional obligation, until later in the interview it says that it cannot continue the mission because according to him it is a court that does not exist.
The leader of the Vetevendosje Movement says the Special Court cannot be broken by law, since it is incorporated in the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and has received the approval of over 2/3 of the deputies of the Republic of Kosovo when it is voted.
The Special Court can't be broken as long as it's our constitutional duty. The Special Court has been approved in the Assembly by 82 votes, over 2/3 through a famous administration 24. There can be no law on what was done with constitutional changes”, Kurti said.
But when asked by the journalist whether the Special will continue the mission according to the Constitution of Kosovo, Kurti says such a thing will not happen since such a court does not have any transparency at all and that it is a ghost court that you cannot undo because it does not exist.
Kurti has also indicated that he has expressed a desire for Kosovo's prime minister to meet with the leader of such a court.
“The Special Court cannot continue the mission because we haven't seen him. There are hundreds of warriors who have been summoned to interviewing discussions in The Hague, and today when we are on the eve of the 5th anniversary of the formation of this Special Court, we have no indictment, so transparency is a ghost court. You can't even mess it up 'cause it's not. She's working very successfully not existing. It is the Sui-generis court, which has a leg outside Kosovo and a foot inside. I, as prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, have said I need to meet with my head, not one of my feet. This court is very strange, and I believe this court does not pass Strasbourg if Kosovo is a member of the Council of Europe”, the head of the Government of Kosovo has added further office.
According to Kurti, the Special Court is a court that has disciplined part of the KLACI commanders who have become politicians and adds that by disciplining commanders, unrightfully maintained even negotiations processes with Serbia.
It's kind of a ghost that the commanders turned into politicians, not all of them, just those who turned into polio, not all veterans, out of mind, because out of the 20,000 veterans, not 1 million, are in power. These commanders turned politician, obviously were disciplined by the Special yet without her acting, only by the threat that the indictment would arise. The specialist is a sort of ghost that disciplined the commanders converted into politicians, and thus maintained unfair negotiating processes with Serbia and a kind of regime of that political conference”, Kurti stressed on Tuesday evening.
He has since said that everything that happened in Kosovo before and after the war needs normal, not special courts.
Whatever happened during the war after the war, we need normal courts, we don't need another special court. The Hague's Tribunal was the Special Court, U n NMIC a Special Court, E A special ULEX court, a more special court. I need to treat ourselves and treat us normally and not specifically to end this special age and to start the era of normal”, Albin Curit said among other things.
