More than 22 health workers in Kosovo have been infected with COVID-19, which causes the new coronavirus, while 130 are in property, has told Free Europe Radio, Blerim Syla, president of the Federation of Kosovo Health Unions.
He added that, based on the available information, their situation is satisfying, although there is concern that the number could increase.
He called on relevant institutions to step up their care of personal safeguard clauses for health workers, adding that “the greatest concentration is on those at the first front, forgetting them on the second and third lines of”.
So far, Kosovo has recorded 598 cases of those infected with the new coronavrus, 123 of them have recovered.
The number of victims Tuesday has reached 16.
