Good news has just come for the region in this difficult time that Kosovo and the whole world are going through. The EU Council of Ministers, today, finally decided to give the green light for opening negotiations with Albania and Northern Macedonia. We warmly wish our fellow countrymen of Albania and North Macedonia.

This event is important not only for these two states, but also for Kosovo and the whole region, because from today we have a step closer to the EU. I hope that this improvement of the EU's position towards the Western Balkans, which is being demonstrated by this decision, will also have the long-awaited visa liberalisation of Kosovo citizens as the next natural step.
