Kosovo striker Vedat Muriqi has issued a statement to Fenerbahce's official page after the match against Antalyaspor. The Turkish Superleague match ended 2:2, while Muriqi scored first goal.
Muriqi after the goal has made military greetings in honour of Turkish soldiers who lost their lives in Syria's Idlib.
We're living in the days when football and goals are worth nothing. Our heroes were martyred in Ibleed. Comfort was expressed to families”, Muriqi said at the beginning of the proposal.
We knew it would be a tough fight when we got out in the field. Sometimes we cannot get the words out of our mouth. There are many things more important than football. I hope we don't lose any more lives. I want all our men, all soldiers, long lives. I hope we live without trouble, without incident”, Muriqi added.
He had four goalless matches in Turkish Superleague.
“Continues to mark every four-five matches. If the team doesn't win, it doesn't matter if it scores. That was today. Unfortunately I scored but the team failed. The goal for me doesn't mean much”, Muriqi said.
