Sʹka koronavirus in Kosovo: The people tested today get negative.

This has been confirmed by the Kosovo National Public Health Institute (IKSHPK), saying the suspect's results have proved negative.

From the date 08.02,2020 to 12,03,2020, at the Moldovan microbiology laboratory in IKSHPK with the RT- The PCR, totally 93 suspicious samples of the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been tested, and all have resulted in negative.

Kosovo's National Public Health Institute (IKSHPK) during today's March 12, 2020, has received information from the KKUK Infectious Clinic for eleven suspicious cases in COVID-19.

Patients were searched by the infected team at the CKUK Infectious Clinic and samples were taken for laboratory testing in the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

By 12.03.20, at the IKSHPK Medieval Microbiology laboratory, eleven patients in the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been tested and have proved negative, that is, patients are not infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

From the date 01.02,2020 to 12,03,20 at the International Airport “Adem Jashari”, as well as at land points, a total of 5,045 travellers have been dedicated. At the “Adem Jashari” 475 travellers, Merdare 2.488, Vermica 1.456, Jarinje 374, Eheu White 80, Hani of Elez 77, Tower 55, Qafe Morine 30, Brnjak 7, Qafe Prush 2 and Grlobica 1 traveler.

With 1203.20, at Kosovo International Airport “Adem Jashari” Airport medical teams along with the QKMF-Fushe Kosovo and supported by the Kosovo National Public Health Institute team have checked all travelers according to O protocol. BSH and ECDC have not been found clinical signs of the disease. All travelers have been given information educational materials related to COVID-19.

2. Confirmed that monitoring measures have been reinforced, preventing the spread risk of COVID-19 that consists of:

• Continue to apply fundamental national response principles to the monitoring system.
• Deposit and detection of suspicious cases as well as conveying the dynamics of the disease;
• Labal confirmation of reported cases;
• Activating epidemic research teams;

IKSHPK's teams and Family Medicine Centres have doubled and are carefully conveying the epidemiological situation with Coronavirus to the opening points and the international airport “Adem Jashari”.
3. The activities recommended by the Committee to Monitor Infectious Diseases have continued with measures for preventing the virus in Kosovo educational institutions that consist in:
• Sharing educational materials and health promotions, mailmen and notebooks.
• Organising lectures dedicated to Coronavirus COVID- 19, organised by educators and professors with the support of IKSHPK public health specialists.
• The step company according to IKSHPK recommendations that all school institutions become the added disinfectation of all the Sanitary surfaces and joints.
4. The exchange of interinstitution information has been established between the Ministry of Health, I KSHPK, Situation Centre, Emergency Management Agency, SHSKUK, AUV, QKMFs, Kosovo Police, F SK, August.

5. I The KSHPK points out that there is no room for panic but for added caution by repeating recommendations:
• Avoid close contact with people who suffer from acute respiratory infections!
• Whenever possible, avoid greeting with a handshake.
• Avoid hugs and kisses as long as you are in danger of respiratory infections!
• Wash your hands often, especially after direct contact with sick people or at home!
• Wash your hands as soon as you get home!
• Wash your hands before you start preparing food!
• Wash your hands after using the toilet!
• Wash your hands as often as you can with soap and water 2030 seconds, especially after direct contact with sick people or at home!
• Avoid the use of public toilets!
• Wash your hands every time you sneeze or cough!
• Avoid touching your face, and cover your mouth and nose with bandages, sleeves, or forearms during coughing and sneezing. Then drop the bandages used in the nearest waste basket!
• If you have fever, cough, and trouble breathing, seek medical help immediately and tell the evental story of travel abroad!
• Sick people must stay at home in order to prevent the spread of the disease!
• Do not frequent closed and crowded environments!
• Drink as much water, juice, lemon tea!
• The elderly and the chronically ill if they use public transportation to use masks!
• Use packed food during your trip!
• Those who have stories of travel in areas that report local COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks have close contact with people who are confirmed or possible with COVID-19, and have fever, cough, or breathing difficulties, should immediately seek medical help!
• If the person does not have close contact with the patient, but it is only potential for him to have stayed in places where there are cases of COVID-19, such a person is recommended to self-house isolation even in the presence of other family members.

• Contacts are recommended for health monitoring for 14 days after the last date of exposure and seek immediate health care if they display any symptoms, especially fever, fever, respiratory symptoms, such as coughing or difficulties in breathing or diarrhea.
• Contacts should consider exercise of self-isolation for 14 days at home
• It is important that this person should not go to work, school, kino, and public places where there is a gathering of many
The first rule of isolation in the house is:
• Older people and children separate from other family members.

• Within facilities of health care institutions, strengthen the standard practice of preventing infection and control in hospitals, especially in emergency services!
• IKSHPK recommends that everyone not travel to area/states with Coronavirus, if not necessary!

Globally, from December 31, 2019 to March 12, 2020, according to E CDC, a total of 125,518 cases of COVID-19 reported with 4,617 cases of death, while in the EU/ AGE and United Kingdom have been reported to a total of 22,105 cases of COVID-19 with 943 cases of death: Italy (827), France (48), Spain (47), United Kingdom (6), Netherlands (5), Belgium (3), Germany (2), Greece (1), Ireland (1), and Sweden (1).

In the event of changing or worsening the epidemiological situation with COVID-19 in Kosovo, recommendations could undergo changes. Citizens will be informed in real time of any such eventual change.
