Through a news release from the Serbian List notes that a group of hooligans from South Mitrovica have today attacked Serb national officers from the Mitrovica police station, which they say were providing assistance to municipal authorities in accordance with the law and in terms of the municipal inspection decision to remove the object they consider unlawful and improvised.
This project, according to them, carries out Agim Bahtiri's goal for what they say, a kind of North Mitrovica occupation.
“To avoid greater conflict, police officials from Northern Mitrovica failed to implement the competencies and austerity measures against hooligans who came from the southern part of the city.
On behalf of the Northern Mitrovica municipality, I strongly condemn building this illegal clay that, according to our information, was conducted by the municipality of South Mitrovica, against the law and without permission. I also condemn the brutal attack on Serbian police officers by hooligans, who must be arrested and prosecuted urgently. Violence against police officers who care for the peace and security of all citizens is absolutely unacceptable”, Rakic writes.
He has called on the international community and representatives of the Kosovo government to stop the South Mitrovica municipality from baning illegal works and not raising tensions.
