Ronaldinho and his brother were arrested on arrival in Paraguay for passport fraud.

The former star of Barcelona was invited to Paraguay to promote his book The Genie of Life, and to attend a charity event.

Under the law in Paraguay, the worst penalty for possession of false documents is five years in prison.

Ronaldinho's situation is expected to be decided very quickly, with the player insisting he was the victim of a fraud.
