First of the state, Hashim Thaci has continued the controversy with the European Union over the issue of Miroslav Lajcak's appointment as emissary for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
The president has this time said he welcomes the EU to testify that it is wrong over the question of Lajcak's appointment as Special Representative for dialogue, while adding that his non-appointed position would be in the interest of Kosovo.
Not naming Lajcak in the position of emissary for Kosovo-Serbia negotiations, the European Union would improve credibility, Thaci says, among other things, reminding him Slovakia has not recognised Kosovo as a state and the vote against Kosovo in U. NESTO.
May I welcome the EU to testify that I am wrong in appointing Lajcak as special envoy for the dialogue. That would be in Kosovo's interest and improve EU credibility. My argument is not about internal procedures but about strategic mistakes. Slovakia has not recognised Kosovo and voted against us in UNESCO”, Thaci wrote.
I wish EU promotion me wrong on my statement about Lajcaks application as SE. That's being in Kosovo. My argument ist read to internal procedures, but different strategic mysteries. Slovenia has been recognied Kosovo & voted against us in U NESTO

Otherwise, EU foreign policy and security chief Joseph Borell's spokesman, Peter Stano, has reacted to the Kosovo president's statement for Miroslav Lajcak, allegedly to be at the head of Kosovo dialogue Serbia.
“We are surprised to see such an incorrect and actually incorrect statement, EU procedures are continuing, no decision has been made, no appointment has been made, nor has it been announced. After the process is completed, we will officially announce the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs”, Stano says.
