In an interview given to Mundo Deportivo, Javier Tebas, president of La League, has expressed optimism about the outcome of the Spanish championship:
We're looking to fix the 30 countries' calendars, except for the Champions and Europe League. It's not easy, we're looking at different solutions. We would like the championship to resume April 23rd or, at worst, May 14th. In the case of the second opportunity, we can play four games in 10 days, considering they would be not only La League, but also European competitions. If the championship were to end beyond June 30th, it would be a problem”.
“Economic losses? There are 28% of television contracts, for a figure exceeding 500m euros. Clubs would not go into crisis thanks to control over club finances. However, these clubs would not be competition for several years”, the Tebas has finished.
