The renowned Iranian athlete, Ehsan Haddad, has proved positive in testing Coronavirus, has become known on Saturday.
Haddad is one of the most famous Asian athletes. He's got a lot of success throwing the disc. He won silver at the 2012 Olympics, while in the 2011 World Cup he won bronze medals.
Haddad was the first athlete from Iran to win Olympic medals, except in sports such as wrestling, weightlifting and taeWondo. He holds the record of Asia in discus (69.32 m).
The Olympic medalist “has been isolated after being tested positively for Coronavirus”, Iran's Athletics Federation doctor Ashkan Ordibehesh has said.
Iran is one of the most hit countries by the coronary. In Iran, 2,500 people have died from this pandemic, while more than 35 thousand people are affected.
Thirty-five-year-old Haddad, has four gold medals at the Asian Games and six gold medals in the Asian championships as well.
Haddad spent part of the year practicing in the United States, but he was in Tehran when he was infected with Coronavirus.
