Kosovo still does not have the Kosovar Anti-Doping Agency, nor after six years since it has been a member of the International Olympic Committee or four years after the competition of the most popular sport, football, at UEFA and FIFA.
That is why Kosovo has been at risk of exclusion from all international sports competitions.
This has been confirmed by Kosovo Olympic Committee Secretary-General Shashivar Hadzijaj, who in an interview for KosovoPress, has provided more details on the issue.
He has stated, among other things, that the Kosovo Olympic Committee has written several times to institutions such as the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Office of Kosovo Prime Minister, but they have never received any positive answers about the establishment of this agency.

Hadijaj: Kosovo still does not have an antidoping Agency
Kosovo has had to establish the Kosovo Agency for Antidoping many years ago, but our institutions have not yet taken such a step. We, like the Kosovo Olympic Committee, have written you several times, whether the MKRS or the prime minister's office, and have asked that the prime minister's office be started and initiated for the establishment of an antidoping agency, but this has not been achieved until today, said Hadzijaj initially.
Hadzijaj said the WADA has asked the Kosovo Olympic Committee to play the role of the dopinugt agency, until one is formed in our state.
Hadijaj: We've been in danger of expulsion.
“Viewing doping problem and using banned substances worldwide, “The ADA has asked the KOK to temporarily assume this responsibility, so that we can become part of the SAA and start the process, whether of education of athletes, trainers for not using prohibited substances, as well as of becoming tests by our athletes and be sent to licensed labs from the WADA”, he said.
As for the future, Hadzijaj said that until the Kosovo Olympic Committee will carry out the task of this agency, Kosovo's exclusion from international competitions will not happen.
Hadijaj: If KOK did not accept such responsibility, Kosovo would be disfellowshipped
“As if the KOK did not accept this responsibility, we would automatically enter the blacklist and be disfellowshipped, but in view of the importance this area has, we have taken the responsibility, we have agreed to play the antidoping agency's role in the Republic of Kosovo, so that Kosovo can continue the races normally in the international arena, because otherwise if we didn't take this responsibility Kosovo would risk not taking part in any of the international competition<> he concluded.
The KOK has also compiled the list of athletes from all Kosovo sports federations that will be forced into doping checks. /Periscope. com/
