Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Fatmir Limaj has reacted after the government's decision to limit citizens' movement.
Limaj has called this decision an attack on constitutional order, adding that in no case and in no law does the government have the right to take measures or announce measures it has outlined in the decision.
He has urgently asked the government to abolish this constitutional decision.
Limaj Posting:
The government of Kosovo, with today's decision on limiting the movement, has usurped the authority it does not belong to, as well as violating and excluding citizens' rights.
In fact, this is an attack on Kosovo's constitutional order. Such measures are before they can be taken, namely Article 56 and 131 of the Kosovo Constitution.
In no case and in no law does the government have the right to take or declare such measures as it has outlined in the decision.
Therefore, I ask the government to urgently abolish this unconstitutional decision and return governance within the legal and constitutional framework. Whatever measures you take should respect legal and constitutional procedures.
