The legendary athlete of Atletico Madrid, Jose Luis Capon, has died on Sunday at the age of 72, the cause of pneumonia that was caused by the coronary, reports Spanish media, broadcast Koha.net.
The tragic news comes just a day after the death of 14-year-old Atleticos football player Christian Minchola.
Capon had played for Atletico from 1970 to 1980. During his time, Capon won the Spain League in 1973 and 1977, the International Cup in 1974, and the Spanish Cup in 1976.
During nine seasons with the Madrillan club, the defender played 269 matches in all competitions.
Capon suffered from Parkinson's in recent years.
