Kosovo is in self-defence due to Coronavirus. Periscop brings the most important political events of the week

The week began under American threats added by the White House. The removal of the tax on goods imported by Serbia was demanded not only by Richard Green, the US's special envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, but also by Donald Trump's son and also by two republican senators.
For the first time since the post-war, an anti-American wave was sparked in Kosovo due to political polarisation.
Prime Minister Kurti seemed totally insensitive and irresponsible to Kosovo's historic alliance with the United States, seeking alliance with the European Union that formally still does not recognise Kosovo's independence because of its five member states.
But another dramatic development occurred this week and was overcome in silence. It was EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Policy Josep Borrell, the one who returned the letter to Prime Minister Kurti and broke all his hopes for co-operation. Borrell openly requested it in his letter “the complete removal of the tax” as the US had requested.
Kurt right now is behind closed doors in Brussels and Washington. These doors can only be opened if he completely breaks the election promise of tariffs and reciprocity, removing the first without putting the second one. It seems that our prime minister has not realized that the issue of his principles has ended. You can't be a semi-progressor, you can't be a quarter-progressor if you violate principles, or just a little bit, then you're unprogressive.
During this week panic broke out in Coronavirus. Even long before the first cases were confirmed in our country. Citizens rushed to buy flour and other food items to prepare for self-isolation. For the first time in 21 years, Kosovo's families are self-isolated.
And once the first cases of Coronavirus were marked, unacceptablely many citizens supporting Vetevendosje began attacking the 77-year-old for his return from the Year, and not the Kurti Government that had not taken adequate measures over time.
The 77-year-old was reportedly entering Kosovo on March 5th, and from that day had been present in many countries. He had been in at least one restaurant, at least one café, attending a wedding, and having also been to a Mass in his village.
Of course, the Kosovo government would have to act earlier, when the risk was visible and real, to test cases at the borders of Kosovo. That's only now, after touching the Coronavirus of five.
And before the first cases were announced with Coronavirus, the meeting was held between Prime Minister Kurti and President Thaci. It was reported that these two institutional leaders had been hired in many “exchanges”, and the meeting lasted more than an hour. They agreed to see each other again.
While the important event was the adoption of the 2.3 billion-euro budget, but without opposition votes, as well as the recent toughness of language between LDK and Kurti, for which Periscopi is preparing a special article. /Periscope
