About 40 thousand Kosovars live in Italy, where 10 percent of them face unemployment and low wages.
The majority of Kosovo communities living in Italy are engaged in difficult jobs in sectors such as agriculture, hotel tourism, construction and other services.
So they say in an interview with news.net, from the Kosovo Embassy in Italy.
This embassy says relations between Kosovo and Italy are excellent, and not only political ones, but also other areas, such as security, economic, trade, cultural ones.
The “Ambada of the Republic of Kosovo in Italy acts like all other embassies of our country around the world operate and acts fully in accordance with the legal acts envisioned in the Law for the Foreign Service of RKS (Nr. 03 L-122/2009), which is the main legal base regulating the functioning of the Foreign Service and our foreign policy as a whole, as well as respective sublaw acts. Relations between Kosovo and Italy are excellent, and not only political ones but also other areas, such as security, economic, trade, cultural, etc.
Kosovo citizens in this state face unemployment, where the most affected is female gender.
While most of the Kosovo community living in Italy is engaged in difficult jobs in sectors like agriculture, hotel tourism, construction and other services, they face low wages, which are then reflected in the difficulties of their daily life.
“As far as problems and difficulties are concerned with Kosovo citizens living in Italy, they relate to various issues characterising immigration as unemployment, which totals 10% of the total number of our resident community in Italy. From this percentage, the most affected turns out to be the female gender. From official statistical information, it turns out that most of our community here is engaged in difficult jobs in sectors like agriculture, hotel tourism, construction and other services. Normally, operating in these sectors in executive functions and service is closely linked to low wages, which are later reflected in the difficulties of their daily life”, the embassy's response sent news.
While, about 150 Kosovars, Italy's citizens turn to the embassy daily.
The number of Kosovo citizens addressing the embassy's consular office in Rome hangs according to the seasons, which later determine the influx. However, the average average on a monthly basis of Kosovo citizens who physically run consular office in the Rome ARKS in normality totals about 150 people. And this number rises with citizens' presence over a month after some services (such as passport and ID) legally owe it once to embassy premises to apply for passports and once again during the month to withdraw the produced documents. This of course does not include dozens of requests for assistance through telephones, e-mails, and, of course, for which they receive real-time answers”, say the embassy.
Meanwhile, the number of Kosovars living in Italy is 40 thousand and 508, of them 22.156 males and 18,352 females,
