The former US vice president scored victory in Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia.
However, the other candidate, Bernie Saunders, is expected to win in the state with mostly delegates, California, and in three other countries.
These two candidates are in the first two positions within the Democratic Party to challenge incumbent Donald Trump in the November elections.
Meanwhile, former New York chairman Michael Bloomberg spent over $500m of his personal assets during the campaign, but scored no victory in any state.
According to initial data, the Biden candidate has secured large percentages of the vote of African-born residents who make up the vital group in the Democratic Party.
On the other hand, Bernie Saunders won in Vermont, Colorado and Utah, while he is expected to win in California.
The winner is still unclear in Texas, where the race between Sanders and Biden is quite narrow, writes “BBC”
