Abe has added that the International Olympic Committee will have the final decision whether “Tokio 2020” will be held according to plan. “We will overcome the spread of the virus and organise the trouble-free Olympics, as planned”, Abe said, follows the BBC.

Japan has had 1423 people affected by the Coronavirus and 28 dead.

Numerous qualifying events for Tokyo 2020 have recently been suspended. But there are some people holding on. The European qualifying tournament in boxing, held in London, kicked off Saturday. There have been numerous reports that the Olympics could be postponed because of the Coronobrus.
