Interior Minister and Public Administration Minister Jhelal Svechla's taskperson, handed over to the Founding Prosecutor's Prosecutor in Pristina, criminal denouncing against President Hashim Thaci, has announced through a MPBAP communiqué Monday.
According to the announcement, the criminal complaint was made for the president's statements of March 23rd, not to respect decisions made by the government in relation to safeguards against the COVID-19 virus.
The president at the media conference comes up with statements calling for disrespect of the government's decision. His statement is this: The citizens are not obliged to respect the constitutional decisions and no one can punish them for that. Neither the Kosovo police nor the security bodies should implement this anti-unconstitutional decision by the government, because they themselves are doing criminal work”, the communiqué of this mnenist said.
According to the communiqué, the president through his statements and calls for disrespecting the government's decision, except that it has caused uncertainty among citizens, the same has also been able to influence that through these calls cause chaos across the streets and “contribute” to the largest distribution of the COVID-19 virus.
In this regard, and given that we are dedicated to respect justice organs and create a state where systems are really separate, Mr. Svecla handed over Penal Calulation against the president, raising the suspicion that the president has committed criminal work calls for resistance previously seen in Article 403 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code”, continues on the communiqué.
A few moments after the government made a decision on limiting the movement of citizens, the president called the conference and called the decision anti-unconstitutional. The president has led this decision to the Constitution.
