At Wednesday's session, for the no-confidence motion filed by the Democratic League of Kosovo, government Kurti, which as the governing partner had the LDK, where the majority of Kosovo Assembly deputies have backed the motion. Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Blerta Deliu-Codra told Indexline that the vote of confidence motion [...]
The MP from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Blerta Deliu-Codra, told Indesksonline that the vote's vote of confidence came to the Parliament as a result of an unprecedented rift among the coracion partners, and that it was the partner who made up half the Government who sought the Parliament's help to give a crisis epilog to their Government.
I agree that this political drama has taken us at least at this time of the struggle for survival from the pandemic, but institutional disfunctionality, and especially the executive one, would only make it more difficult to manage this situation.
The two ruling partners had to show more sensitivity to public health care and avoid disagreements or even political calculations at this time, when people's lives depend seriously on government management”, Deliu-Codra said.
Furthermore, she said the PDK did not contribute to the provocation of this crisis.
Neither did we contribute to the provocation of this crisis, nor did we feed it, but we showed the maximum care that the dispute should be resolved between partners, without infecting the general public”, she added.
According to the PDK MP, the debate in the Assembly has testified how deepening the internal government conflict had been, and that grave accusations against each other to qualities of treason, the clear mirror of a crisis that, if not averted, could produce fatal consequences in the situation we are in.
Asked whether this government should fall, Blerta Deliu-Codra said that no Government should fall at the height of a storm, where people's lives depend directly on its political and managerial decisions. But, at the same time, no Government should be tolerated so that in time of collective jump, the power engine should have party calculations.
It showed that the collapse of Kurti Government was not their choice, it was just an invitation from the governing partner (LDK), to help it get out of this political crisis caused with the other government partner (VV).
