The decision was made on Ronaldinho after being arrested with a false passport

The 39-year-old and his brother were both interviewed by police Thursday, after presenting illegal documents at the airport, Periscopi broadcast.

The prosecutor, Federico Delphino, said that the brothers were aware that they had committed a crime but had done so unconsciously.

The pair has agreed to be punished by an alternative method.

“We're looking for another way out of this, which doesn't result in formal charges,” said Delphino about reporters.
