Coronavirus difficulty returning fellow countrymen to Kosovo, Albania

Following the EU's decision not to allow the travel of citizens from non-member states of the EU due to the pandemic crisis with the Corona virus, Albanian representatives abroad are placed in a state of alert. Many citizens from Albania or Kosovo expect to return home. There are also cases of Germany's refusal, Frankfurt Airport Police [...]
In addition, there are cases of refusing to enter Germany, Frankfurt Airport Police confirmed Deutsche Welles that in connection with the coronavrus crisis, the two citizens from Albania have been denied entry into Germany. People are back on another flight to the country.
Call bubble at Albanian embassies
We are trying to help anyone who has turned to representatives of the Republic of Albania in the world confirmed on Friday (20.02) Albania's Foreign Ministry Deutsche Welles.
This ministry's spokeswoman, Fiona Demner, says that “is working intensively on the return of anyone who has sought assistance and expressed interest. The situation is not easy, as the EU has closed borders and day-to-day flights are failing. We're trying to do our best, case by case”
The need is acute, even in increasing the flow of calls and e-mails these days, both at the Embassy of Albania and Kosovo in Berlin.
According to sources from the Albanian Embassy, there have been over 150 calls during the day and 200-300 e-mails with questions and calls for help from Albanian citizens. Concerns vary greatly. Of those who fear violating residence permits, to individuals who cannot fly, or even to those in critical financial condition. The embassy says that all personnel are mobilised to provide assistance to such an emergency situation due to the Corona virus.
Corona Empty Frankfurt Airport
At least for those who fear, they violate the 90-day Schengen space deadline, Albania's Foreign Ministry delivered a good news yesterday. Those who exceed the term of residence allowed in Schengen space and testify that because of the Covid-19 situation, the movement will not be penalised”.
But for many citizens from Kosovo who come only by visa to Germany, concern over breaking the visa deadline is even greater because of the failure to fly. Many people demand these days to receive an identity confirmation that has expired the visa deadline not to be penalised later, sources from the Kosovo Embassy in Berlin say.
First organised return of citizens from Germany to Kosovo commanded
The Kosovo Embassy in Berlin confirmed that in co-operation with authorities in Kosovo, the Ministry of Transport and Health organised a special flight for the return of Kosovo's residence residents to their homeland. The first special plane with about 100 people left on Friday afternoon from Düsseldorf Airport to Pristina. The embassy begs other citizens to have patience, that authorities are processing lists of citizens who want to return.
What they need to know, the people who return to Pristina, is that they will first cross into a 14-day quarantine, a step, apparently not so easy to accept by many returning travelers, but much needed to curb the spread of the Corona virus.
Sources from the Kosovo Embassy in Berlin say we want to appeal to Kosovo citizens, if possible, to stay in Germany these days because Kosovo's capacities for introducing 14-day quarantine are limited.
