A Chinese restaurant has placed a large inscription on its entrance to celebrate the fact that the United States and Japan have been hit by Coronavirus.
The inscription in gold and red background notes: “Great glad tidings of the American epidemic and long life of the epidemic in small Japan”.
The manager of the local restaurant in northeastern China, Shenyang, has been dismissed from the company after it faced numerous negative reactions to social networks.
The man managing the restaurant, identified only as Hui, had placed the inscription without the permission of the central office as an attempt to attract more guests.
The restaurant chain that owns this local said the counterspecies inscription has left two hours after the deployment and the manager has been banned from the police for questioning, writes “Daily Mail”, Report Express.
We reflect deep regret over the negative effect it has caused in society”, it says in the declaration of the owners of this network.
The move was widely commented on social networks, as media in Japan reported on the incident. This is very, very embarrassing”, said a commentator on the Weibo network.
Chinese nationalists have an antipathy for Japan. Relations between the two countries have been cold for decades due to territorial disputes and violence during World War II.
