They were identified with the deadly virus after a business trip to northern Italy. They were identified with the deadly virus after a business trip to northern Italy. As soon as they arrived on the island of Zakinthos, they presented the symptoms of the disease and were isolated in their living quarters. Doctors at the Zakinthos regional hospital say their clinical situation is quite good, and at the moment they are normally reacting to the drugs being treated.
As soon as their infection became known, the authority of the island of Zakinthos ordered the immediate disinfectation and closure of the very frequent restaurant that the couple owned at the centre of the Ionian island and the passage to quarantine of two other restaurant employees and those of Albanian origin. So far, employees have no sign of the virus.
There are several cases on the island of Zakinthio with Avid19, but at the moment it is unknown who is the source of the infection of the inhabitants. The Zakinthos area, Pirgos Ilias, Katakolos and Patras, have been praised as among the most affected in Coved19.
