Former Tub Shell Workers ask for 25m euros promised Kurti

“With June 2nd of 2017 in the past elections, Albin Kurti had promised us again how the next prime minister will execute the Constitutional Court's decision, and the decision of the Republic of Kosovo to take our money, before 6 October we have asked current Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Haxhiu whether it is certain of the decision to seal anyone's ballot and have promised us again that decision will be executed, and we have expectations on this Government, says the Union of the factory workers at Feriz.

Former pipe factory workers at Ferizaj immediately after the Assembly and Government's binding are calling for the execution of Constitutional Court's appointment, which deals with material compensation worth 25 million and 695 thousand euros.

Ali Shaban, a member of the management union of the pipeline factory in Ferizaj, says that now their lawyer has submitted a request to Kurti and the AKP directors to put the issue of pipe factory workers in order day.

“Of course we have welcomed the establishment of the Assembly and Government of the Republic of Kosovo, we have then considered, and now, that there will be a change, expectations now on this Government, we last Monday through our lawyer and sent a letter to the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Kurti, as well as to AKP directors for the agenda of the factory workers' pipe case, even though this has now been overex>

Shaban further stressed whether or not the AKP would be extinguished, according to him, Krey minister knows the problem of the pipe factory workers, according to Saban on June 02th of 2017 in past elections they had had a direct meeting with Albin Kurti now, who had promised them that after they had voted that decision in the Parliament, as next prime minister he would execute the Constitutional Court act and the decision of the Republic of Kosovo.

He adds that all political parties that have been in power until October 06th 2019 have promised them that they will make the execution of that act, and on behalf of that act had won votes by telling them that pipe factory workers would receive the money if they gave them the vote.

According to him on behalf of the union, they will not give up on the decisions of the state bodies, according to him as far as 137 protests have been organised, many strikes for months and years, and except for Prime Minister Kurti, he also spares to Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu, who claims he has talked to before the October 06th elections and has been assured of his executional act, and that was the goal they had rewarded by vote.

From May 2014 to May 2015, these former workers had remained a full year before the Government object in protest, demanding the execution of the act, but had not found support from then Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.
We remember that after the privatisation of the Ferizaj pipeline factory from the AKM in 2001, worth 3 million and 675 thousand euros, the workers of this factory had filed lawsuits to compensate for their violent departure from the Sebe forces in 1990, and Ferizaj's Municipal Court stipulated that workers' debt amounted to 25 million and 659 thousand euros.

The Union of Ferizaj's Municipal Court had also submitted it to the Constitutional Court on March 03th 2009, and on December 17, 2010, the Constitutional Court had issued a conviction, in which it had declared an acceptable request.

This act was never executed, and now almost 10 years have passed since former pipe factory workers are waiting to get their money.
