Tirana's prosecution has launched a criminal proceedings for “market buffer” by pharmacies about the price hikes of certain products (safeguards, disinfectant content products, etc) that serve as measures for preventing corruption spread.
“Procuroria near the First Century Court, Tirana, taking advantage of various media-made data, as well as management of operational data regarding the actions of several pharmacists in terms of rising prices of various products has recorded criminal proceedings for the criminal work of “Market Manipulation” envisioned by Article 143/a/1 of the Penal Code.
Currently, we are in the phase of collecting information needed for the investigation and documentation of all cases, in which it is suspected that some subjects in an abusive and illegal way have increased prices on various products (safes of protection, disinfective content products, etc), taking advantage of the situation created because of interest, in the range of taking anti - Coronubirus measures, at the expense of legitimate interests, and in violation of legal norms.
Pointing to the prosecution's maximum commitment, in handling such cases, we bring to the attention of citizens that any incorrect, deliberately, value of a commodity, service or money, with the aim of free and fair market funskion disorder, has been criminally prosecuted.
