The complete package of a mask, gloves, a ballik, disinfectant, and a coat of toilet shell can cost up to 5,000 euros. Only masks sold in the retail market for 1.50 euros are being sold online for 1,500 euros in pieces, “reported.Wantinmilan”, Time.net transmission.
Salers of these products are providing potential buyers that medical equipment will protect them from coronary infection.
The 20 people who are being investigated by police include entrepreneurs, private citizens and even a health worker, in the Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Chapanya and Pimonte regions.
They are being investigated under suspicion of commercial fraud and could be sentenced to prison for up to two years.
Earlier this week, Milan's deputy chief prosecutor, Tisiana Sicilano, had confirmed the launch of investigations into cases of rising prices for these equipment.
“We have decided to open an investigation after media reports on mad prices of these products (scans and turkeys) on online websites two recent days”, he had told Reuters, Sicily.
“Online mask prices have increased from one cent to 10 euros perpiece and a 1-liter bottle of disinfectant that last week was sold for 7 euros, now sold for 39 euros”, Sicilano said on Tuesday.
