Serbian media claim US Special Representative for Western Balkans Matthew Palmer and US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy Donald Greenell have no similar stance on the Kosovo agreement Serbia.
According to Serbian media, after signing two air and railway traffic agreements between Kosovo and Serbia, the US has taken the role of mediator in the Kosovo dialogue.
Concretically, writes Blic.rs, Matthew Palmer, as State Department official, said an interview is that it is up to Kosovo and Serbia to set parameters for dialogue, and that “the exchange of territory is still an option if both sides reconcile”, the news conveys.net.
“It is up to the parties to set dialog parameters. The US supports both sides to find a way to return to the negotiating table, discuss all issues and find a way to move towards normalising relations”, Palmer said.
As he stressed, mutual recognition would be the ideal result of resolving this problem.
“We would like the mutual recognition of Kosovo and Serbia to be the result of the negotiations process,” said Palmer.
Linked to publication of the newspaper “EU-Oobserver”, US Special Envoy Richard Green has reacted and denied that the United States is open to exchange of territories.

I am in favour of what the sides agree to. I'm focused on economic development, not the” policy, Grenelli wrote.
Grenelli was also contacted by Serbian Blitz about Palmer's statement, but the latter has said Palmer himself seems to be contacted for that.
