The head of the Kosovo Economic Ode, Berat Rukiqi, says executive head Albin Kurti should consult businesses before setting the reciprocity measure.
The chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Economics, Berat Rukiqi, has said that Prime Minister Albin Kurti should consult the business community before the reciprocity measure is imposed with Serbia.
Rukiqi says this consultation must be made to identify business requirements.
We must have a clarity in this regard. I've heard the prime minister consult with the business community. I call on the prime minister who makes the consultation so that we can clearly identify the demands”, Rukiqi told Telegrafi.
He has added that reciprocity is not an extraordinary measure.
“Prime Minister Kurti has published his position, yet not the decision, as this is the government decision, that the tax should be replaced by reciprocity. I understand reciprocity as something more normal, because it's not an extraordinary measure, while the tax is considered an extraordinary instrument in all commercial reports, where countries should be approaching with reciprocity”, he said.
Rukiqi also spoke of the ruling coalition's economic plan in this interview, saying the ideas presented must be applied in the economic context that has been built so far in the country.
