Kosovo's prime minister and his counterpart from Albania have spoken at the joint media conference in Tirana about the idea of the Balkan mini-Sgent -- an initiative which the official Pristina has rejected by not participating in any of the current regional meetings.
Giving details on whether this topic has been discussed at its first official meeting abroad, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said more have been talking about Albanian macro-Sengenin than about the Balkan mini-Sgengen.
“This was our first meeting and there are many topics that will be discussed in the future and I can say that this was the topic we discussed, but briefly, as our meeting today was earlier for Albanian macro-Sensing rather than for the Balkan mini-Sgent”, Kurti said.
Prime Minister Ra told me that it is up to Kosovo and Albania to decide about the free movement of goods and people, demanding that this process move forward, so that, as he put it, neither Serbia nor other countries can say that we are doing Albania big if we remove the border.
“I don't believe that the Albanian macro-Shange without the Balkan minister, but I believe that Albanian macro-Shangen is closely linked to the regional Shingen word, because if we're considering the length of the Berlin process, and if we're harmonised in our interactions, then it opens up to us the path that's been closed from all the years, to have a space between the two states, to have a space between the two countries, to have free movement between us yesterday, not only because of the resistance of Serbia. Today it is only in our hands, I have broken this resistance and not waste time and move forward this process, that neither Serbia nor other countries can say that we are doing great Albania if we remove the” border, Rama said.
He said work must be launched with all agencies guaranteeing security aspects according to Shengen and removing barriers between Kosovo and Albania.
