US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has reiterated the demand for the removal of the tax on Serbian goods.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said he expects Kosovo to lift the fee on Serbian goods and exploit the moment created after signing documents for the creation of air, railway and land ties between Pristina and Belgrade.
State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus said through a communique that Secretary Pompeo during his meeting in Washington with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci reaffirmed the strong partnership between the United States and Kosovo and support for an independent and sovereign Kosovo.
“Secretary Pompeo also reaffirmed the United States' support for the Special Court, whose work is vital to bringing justice to victims and strengthening the rule of law in Kosovo”, the State Department spokeswoman said.
