Kosovo Police General Director Rashit Qalaj, at a news conference by Gjilan, has acknowledged that about 100 Kosovo Police members have psychic problems and that they are currently undergoing treatment.
“E is in poor condition of policemen who have mental problems”, said Qalaj.
He has said, among other things, that as a result of the lack of the Law on Police, they should keep them at work and cannot be downloaded.
Because of a lack of law, we need to keep a job”, Qalaj has added further.
He has shown that over 100 police officers have psychic problems and that they are currently being addressed.
Minister of Internal Affairs Agim Veliu and the chairman of Gjilan, Lutfi Haziri, also attended this joint conference.
Yesterday in the early afternoon, the police officer with the V.B. initials allegedly deprived the lives of four members of her family and finally killed herself.
As confirmed by the sources, the late policeman had already experienced psychiatric problems, and prior to a time he had undergone psychiatric treatment. However, she had never been suspended from work, but was just proposed to sit down in degree.
As a consequence of this tragedy Tuesday evening, Kosovo Police Inspectorate has recommended the suspension of the Kosovo Police's commanding chain in Gjilan.
