Researchers say that people who have a positive partner or an optimist have a lower risk of being affected by Alzheimer's disease, degeneracy, or other cognitive disorders.
They believe that an optimistic partner helps to develop a healthier life - style, encouraging them to exercise physical activities or to eat healthy ones.
This study, published in the magazine <x0); Journal of Personality”, has followed more than 4,000 couples for eight years. This research has noted that those with optimistic life partners enjoyed better health because their home was a more positive, healthier, and less stressful environment.
Taking into account the fact that we spend most of our time with our partners, that means they are a very important factor even in our mental and physical development”, the author of this research said.
Eventually, people who are married to optimistic people tend to eat healthier, to carry a normal body weight, to engage in physical activities, to increase their careers, and therefore to improve their health. / GE
