Sad at the news of her death is the world-renowned Kosovo tenor Rame Lahaj.
Lahaj says that he's lost his soul in such news and that it hurts him that I can't see him last time.
Rame Lahaj also remembers the fact that the state has not done enough for an artist like Nexmije Paganusha.
Rame Lahaji's full reaction:
Honey, it hurts!
You cut my soul, Nanous!
What really hurts is that I won't be able to come and embrace you physically but in spirit and mind will forever preserve the memory and great work you left us for generations of generations growing up with your divine voice.
To forgive that as a state, we didn't do enough for you, but we never did for anyone who raised the Albanian pedestal of art and figure. But that's what we are. Shadow fighting only for chairs.
Good-bye, Nanush.
To know that as long as I breathe and everywhere in the world, I will boast of you and your divine art.
Kosovo's voice, Nexmije Paganousha, is at peace.
