Some Kosovo mayors are staying in American state of Iowa

The partnership between Kosovo and Ioua will continue to strengthen through closer co-operation between local authorities of both states, but also by expanding with economic co-operation. This was said during a meeting of U.S. Deputy Governor of the state of Iowa with a delegation of mayors of the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, who are staying in the United States of America under the organisation of the Regional Development Agency Central and the American Economic House in Kosovo.
Iowa Deputy Governor of State Adam Gregg expressed happiness in Ioua's partnership with Kosovo, which is reflected through partnership agreements between Kosovo's different cities with those of Ioua.
He voiced his state's pledge to expand this partnership even in the area of the economy, stressing the possibility that businesses from Iow will become part of the Iowa Governor's delegation during its visit to Kosovo in June.
According to OEAK, part of this delegation are Prizren Mayor Mittaher Haskuka, Gjilan municipality chairman Lutfi Haziri, Vushtro Komun of Xhafer Tahiri, head of Shtimem Ismajli municipality, chairman of Obilic municipality Dzifer Gashi, head of Ranilousa Komilunja municipality Vladica Ariovic, Mamushadhadi Krasniac, chairman of the Parisa municipality Drag Petkovic, two municipalities from Komlica Komlica Komlica of Bramsica, Dimitrisava, and Dejan Lukaovic, President of the Regional Ministry of Development.
The mayors of Kosovo municipalities expressed their pledge to strengthen partnership with the respective cities from the state of Ioua, also introducing investment opportunities in their municipalities for American companies from Iowa. They cut their gratitude for the support of the state of Ioua for Kosovo in various areas.
During this visit, Gjilan municipality chairman Lutfi Haziri will sign the partnership agreement between the town of Gjilan and the city of Siux City of Ioua, while the mayor of the Vushtrri municipality will have meetings with his counterpart, as well as the business community from the town of Norwalk, which has midway partnership with Vushtrri. The delegation of mayors will also meet with the State Secretary of Iowas, with leaders of Fort Dodge, the military authorities of the National Guard of Iowa, but also with companies and other economic, educational, cultural and sports organisations.
