Social Democrat Party candidate (SPD), originally from Kosovo's Pozharan of the Year, Sami Musa becomes the first Albanian-born MP in the Hamburg Parliament. The 35-year-old is a famous businessman in Hamburg.
Sami Moussa has run the Social Democrat Party's list, which in Sunday's (February 23rd) elections has won more than 39% of the vote and has taken first place in this city/land. In this way, the SPD will remain in power, though it has scored a decline in votes of more than 6%.
But the SPS partner in the coalition, ecologists, has doubled the number of votes (over 24%) and in that way, in all likelihood, not only will joint governance continue but will strengthen power. Part of the power will therefore be the new Kosovo-born deputy Sami Moussa.
The news of Sami Musa's victory confirmed for Deutsche Ellen his father, Jeelil Musa, a longtime businessman in Hamburg.
Later, all the electors also thanked Sami Musa, who promises to realise the goals promised during the election campaign. I've won 3661 votes and I believe I'm inside the Hamburg parliament”, Sami Musa confirms.
Hamburg's new MP has thanked all the assistants and electors, in words that <x0-voters are committed to democracy”, while he promises to engage with all means of realising democratic promises and values.
The news that Sami Moussa will be part of Hamburg Parliament has been published not only by his family but also by German media.
