Are you having a hard time working? Stressed by the deadlines, bosses and meetings? According to Japanese researchers, a plant on your desk can help.
Researchers believe that many workers underestimate the fact that plants offer a stress release, so they did an experiment for workers at an electric company in Japan and observed changes in stress levels before and after plant inclusion, writes CNN.
The results published in HortTechnology found that a number of workers with a high level of anxiety after the plant's presence a little lowed. Another 27% of workers showed a significant decline in heart rate.
Judging from the positive reactions of the study given by about half of the participants, the authors said the perfection for a flower held close to itself may have played a role in reducing stress, CNN reports.
