Erling Haaland has been embarking on his career at Signal Iduna Park since he joined Borussia Dortmund of RB Salzburg during the January transitional deadline. Since then, he has scored seven goals in his first three presentations.
Hummels, who scored 25 goals in 334 presentations for Dortmund during two times with the club, has said jokingly he has been helping 19-year-old Haaland with his game in the stage of the attack.
“Haland is doing good work. Of course I'm giving him some advice on how to score. He has scored more goals in 57 minutes than I will manage to score through the entire” season, Hummels said in an interview for W ELT.
After Haaland has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract in Dortmund, Hummels hopes the attacker will stay in the club and hopes he will become as successful as Lewandowski who had played for Dortmund for four years since 2010 and scored 103 goals.
I hope Hawaii stays here as long as I do. At least that's what I hope. I played with Leandowski for a long time, so I know a good attacker when I see him. However, Haaland são has yet to reach that level of”, Hummels added.
Hummels had played Lewandowski even while he was part of Bayern Munichu's team.
