Greek police have crashed with firearms with 3 armed Albanian thieves, with two of them being wounded as a result.
The serious event took place in Corinth, Saturday's (February 8th) noon, as Greek police reportedly had long watched a suspicious vehicle that was thought to be linked to several thefts in the area.
According to the media, the two Albanians were injured on foot. One was sent to the Corinth Hospital and the other to Thriascio, while the third was arrested.
A major police operation was under way all afternoon in Corinth to arrest three armed Albanian thieves. Air forces and police also engaged in apprehending Albanians. When Albanians realized that they were surrounded, they pulled out their weapons and started shooting at the police, who responded to bullets.
According to Greek media, the three Albanians are thought to belong to a gang that has committed bank robbery in Kalamata last August. Within the author's vehicle, police found a Kalashnikov and currently a broad operation is under way for finding another person.
