Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Glauk Konjufca has been hosting the Czech Embassy's chief in Pristina today, Pavel Bilek, with whom they discussed various topics of interest and intention for strengthening bilateral relations.
The foreign minister thanked the Czech diplomatic Mission chief for his state's continued support, stressing that he highly appreciates Czech commitment and continued support for Kosovo under the Visegrad Group.
“We support any process that is in the interest of good co-operation and neighbouring, so we seek support from the Visegrad Forum for the Western Balkan Fund, as the only mechanism that directly includes the six countries of the region, with which the Republic of Kosovo currently heads”, Konjufca said.
The meeting also discussed economic agreements between the two countries, the Economic Co-operation Agreement signed by relevant ministries, and is expected to function with the planned meeting of the joint economic Commission.
This framework also discussed the two-tax evasion agreement, which has been ratified by the Kosovo side, but still remains blocked in the Czech parliament.
Konjufca and diplomat Bilek praised the relations between Kosovo and Czechia and agreed that the Czech Diplomacy chief's visit postponed due to elections be realised on the deadline.
