Under pressure to fight false news before the presidential elections to be held in the United States, Facebook has launched an American pilot-program from December last year to observe the disinfectant more quickly.
The move has come after US intelligence agencies have said that social networking spaces have been exploited in the Russian campaign with the aim of intervention in the 2016 presidential elections.

Reuters news agency has said it has created a new department to verify photos, videos, titles and other material published on Facebook for the American and Spanish-language audience.
Besides Reuters, Facebook also co-operates with other information agencies such as the Associated Press and the Agence France-Presse.
