The European Commission gives good news: This is the new EU enlargement proposal

Today, the European Commission has unveiled the proposal to advance the EU enlargement process, making it more reliable, dynamic and predictable. It seems that new representatives in the EU are aware that they have caused major crisis of trust in political elites and in citizens of Western Balkan countries who were repeatedly disappointed over the past decade.
Finally, Albania and North Macedonia did not open official negotiations on EU accession, while Kosovo continues to remain isolated as if it were massively affected by any infectious diseases such as Coronavirus, writes Periscopi.
Commissioner for Neighborship and Enlargement Oliver Varhely stated: “The enlargement of the European Union with the Western Balkans is a top priority for the Commission. We're working three ways: First, today we propose concrete steps on how to expand the EU entry process. As we strengthen and improvise the process, the goal remains entry and full EU membership. Second, and in parallel, the Commission maintains its positions that it recommends opening negotiations for membership for northern Macedonia and Albania. ”
Similarly, Varhely said that at the summit, expected to be held in May, the commission will provide a concrete plan for economic development and investment for our region.
However, of course, even this proposal is expected to have no significance for Kosovo and other Western Balkan countries that continue to be treated unjustly by the larger European states.
